Viva Las Vega 16 & Outfits of the Week

I am so excited at the start of seeing the photos of "shopping" treasures being found recently on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in preparation for Viva Las Vegas. This will be my first year attending!! I have collected a heap of vintage patterns and plan on sewing all my new clothes. I am such an awkward shape, I rarely find kitschy-cool vintage that fits my "too big busted, short waisted, long legged" body!

Also, like so many, I plan on really committing to kicking the rest of my baby weight, more like the baby "jiggle" before the main event. I am very happy with the weight drop I've attained (40 pounds!), but, because Scarlett was SO high, my abdomen is still protruding, making so many of my skirts not being able to zip.

Last but not least, I think I'm kicking the black hair. I've had it for 2 years now, and I'm getting a little tired of it. I love the bright red that everyone is rocking these days, but I don't know how that would work with my clothing. It's such a hard shade to do (and I'm a hairdresser). I want more Femme Fatale, less Ronald McDonald.

I really love the shade of the model on the left

Now, on to the clothing

  3. The red in that picture you shared is delightful!! I think darker is easier to work with - and less Ronald McDonald, yes. Good luck on making your outfits from scratch - can't wait to see the results!!!

  7. I'm not a big fan of red hair because they are so hard to keep!!! I had red head a few years ago but I needed to dye them very often because it faded so fast... so I decided to go back to blond, I'm now thinking to light brown or venitian blond...
My husband and I will be to VLV, it's our third time there! We are hoping to meet you there!
I cannot believe how every VLV fashionistas become like crazy buying crazy vintage clothes for unafordables prices... I will be in the US for 3 weeks with a small suitcase so I cannot bring with me all what I would like to... no hat, no full petticoat....
Congrats for your weight loss, must not be easy!

Good luck with the weightloss and well done! I found it so hard to lost weight after my second baby but let those skirts be your incentive! xxx
